Microneedling / The Vampire Facial

Stem Cell / CGF Collagen Induction Therapy

CGF (concentrated growth factors) is the next generation of PRP (platelet rich plasma) facial treatment. This treatment is superior to other cell-based skin rejuvenation treatments because it uses the very latest technology in cell harvesting. This is a new anti-ageing treatment, designed to rejuvenate and regenerate skin conditions related to skin deterioration.

Sometimes referred to as The Vampire Facial, it is unique to other skin treatments, as it uses the patient’s blood to harvest concentrated plasma, which is rich in platelets. When injected, these rich platelets release powerful growth factors and natural stem cells that are specifically designed to stimulate the skin tissue significantly.

Growth factors and stem cells also increase cellular turnover and collagen production, which is the foundation of youthful, glowing and radiant skin.

A CGF injection treatment is very safe, as it uses your cells and can be performed on any part of the body, including the eyelids and directly under the eyes. Because it is a product of your own body, there is no chance of allergic reaction to the CGF.

CGF injections for wrinkles are especially effective as it treats lax skin and fine lines on the face giving the most natural result possible. This is because the skin is brought back into its most prime condition, essentially rewinding the damage that time and the environment have caused.

What are autologous blood concentrates and what can they do?

Few people realise that the simple blood coursing through your veins is made up of numerous microscopic components that can regenerate and repair all kinds of tissues in the body, including the skin.

Cells in the blood called Platelets help the body to heal after injury by releasing Growth Factors that stimulate tissue regeneration processes.

Also, blood also contains Stem Cells can develop into active cells required for regeneration and repair of hard and soft tissues.

Such cells have been used clinically to treat various diseases including Spinal Cord Injuries, Liver Cirrhosis and Peripheral Vascular disease, in addition to skin rejuvenation.

These techniques take a person’s own blood (autologous) and separate the components into layers, concentrating those useful cells into zones that can be easily extracted and administered back into the same person, with the aim of revitalising unhealthy tissues.

What to expect during the procedure?

Dr Ish will apply a local anaesthetic to the areas of your skin that will be treated.

Blood is then drawn from your arm in the same manner as if you were having routine blood tests.

The drawn blood is placed in a special machine called a Centrifuge, which spins the blood at high speeds to separate the components. This is administered through a series of micro-injections or micro needling techniques.

Treatment time varies but it generally between 30-60 minutes. Thanks to the use of local anaesthetic, most people experience no pain or discomfort with this procedure.

What to expect after the treatment

Some minor swelling, redness, and tightness of the skin are normal but will subside after 24-48 hours. A full list of post treatment instructions will be provided.

As the skin starts to rejuvenate and new collagen is stimulated by the blood concentrates, you will notice a reduction in visible fine lines and wrinkles; an improvement in skin tone, texture, and brightness; together with a reduction in pigmentation.
