Dr Ish Goonewardene
Dental Surgeon, Dermal Practitioner & Myobrace Clinician
Dr Ish graduated from Otago University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Since then she has gained experience working in many fields of dentistry. Dr Ish first worked as a dental house surgeon in a busy hospital in New Zealand, gaining experience in emergency and surgical treatment, as well as general dentistry. She then moved to private practice and took this experience overseas where she worked in Scotland and England.
Warrick Edwards
Dental Practitioner, Dermal Practitioner & Myobrace Clinician
Warrick has been in the dental industry for sixteen years, with experience in both private practice and larger public health entities. Warrick has experience teaching both accredited and non-accredited dental courses for the NSW government and private training institutes.
Philippa Courtney
Philippa arrived in Sydney from Manchester, the UK in 2017 and has been with Totalcare ever since. She has a bubbly personality and has worked closely with the general public for over 9 years. Philippa loves to chat with the patients and get to know them all at their visits. In her free time Philippa enjoys going to the gym, sunrise coastal walks and dinners out with her friends. She also has a big interest in skincare and hopes to further her knowledge in the near future.
Sophia
BSc (Hons) in Oral Health Sciences
Born in the North of England, Sophia graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc (Hons) in Oral Health Sciences. After graduating, Sophia has worked in various dental practices, gaining lots of experience before making her move to Australia. Sophia’s favourite part of her job is helping patients gain confidence by improving their oral hygiene and creating a positive dental experience.
Elisha
Born and raised on Sydney’s Northern beaches, Elisha graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Sydney. Soon after graduating, Elisha decided to make the move to regional Tamworth, NSW. Here she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating highly complex dental cases and medically compromised patients. In addition to this, she was also an oral health advocate, promoting healthy lifestyles and oral hygiene habits to the local primary schools.
Zoe
Zoe is a dental nurse born & raised in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. She has always had an interest in dentistry and would love to one day become a dentist herself. Zoe loves a chat with patients and wants to make them feel as comfortable as possible. Whilst not working, she enjoys a shopping spree, and aspires to get back to her favourite sport – gymnastics.
Naoise
Our newest dental nurse Naoise is from Dublin Ireland. She loves working in a medical environment where patient care is hugely important to her.
Poppy
South coast of England, Poppy has been in the dental field for 4.5 years now. She gained her dental nursing diploma in 2021. She always enjoyed coming to the dentist, so thought it would be the perfect job to start in the industry. Her favourite thing about dentistry is socialising with our patients and being a part of the reason they feel confident in themselves again. In her spare time, poppy enjoys being outdoors in nature and being by the coast.
